For my colorado friends

Bicycle Colorado is trying to get a "Share the Road" license plate in the state of Colorado. If you're a resident of Colorado (and you'd like to see this plate), sign the petition.

All the pertinent information is available at Bicycle Colorado's web page.

  1. For the longest time when I moved here I thought the "respect life" license plates were green, eco-friendly plates. Then I thought maybe the Columbine high school shooting, and now I think (based on the prevalence in the Springs) that it is an anti-abortion thing. Which is it?
    Signed.

  2. Those plates came out sometime around the time that I moved here. If I remember correctly (and I frequently don't), the driving force behind it was the Columbine families and the money from those plates goes to some Columbine fund. I would suspect, however, that our evangelical friends have adopted the plates. (They must have done that sometime between telling us homosexuals are bad and getting tweaked on meth while they get it on with their gay masseuse).
Oh, here you go, a story about the plate, and some funny discussion.
